Strawberries

I tasted the first ripe strawberry out of the patch this morning, so June is near. Last year Taylor and I replanted two beds of Junebearing plants so we should have a lot of fresh strawberries for Weston and all of us to pick.
The garden is growing fast, the potatoes are 8", the garlic tall, the herbs blossoming-
Life is good and the garden reminds me that life is fleeting- a little too much sun, too little water, not the right nutrients= things die- so
What are you feeding your LIFE?
Here to getting just the right amount of life's nutrients so your garden/life can grow and expand like my berry patch.

Appreciation of "B"

Happy Birthday, Bri,

36 today, what a life you have created in those 36 yrs. Congratulations! I hope that you and Alexandra can find roots to plant those amazing seeds you are developing. If it is in Bali, I quess I will have to fly there often.
Thank you for loving my daughter with such expression, she glows in your presence. But mostly thank you for helping me see clarity through difficult decisions. I love you! M2

A YEAR IN A LIFE

Well it's MOREL season again and I am posting for the first time in a year. The great thing is I have about 10 lbs of freshly gathered little morsels in my frig as I write. Something you can count on- every spring the lilacs blooms, the asparagus shoots and MORELS hide under elm trees. This post is about what you can count on-- more specifically what I can count on

365- A year has gone by and wow what an amazing life I have. I could give you 365 miracles that happened but I will give you just the a few.

My birth children both got married- age 29 and 31 within a month of each other, on separate coasts, to amazing people. Now that's a year! 2010

So what do I count on:

1) My strength of knowing when to let go

2) My ability to love

3) My nurturing nature knows no enemy

4) My belief in the UNIVERSE and my part in it

5) My love of family, friends, staff, and partners in health, while sometimes poorly spoken, greatly felt and a source of inspiration to me.

6) My creative energy

7) My children- all five of them- brilliant, talented, loving extensions of a life well lived.

8) My ability for forgiveness - of myself for my weaknesses, for others for theirs.

I can count on continuing this incredible journey I am on- MY LIFE and be present to revel in it.
